At LanguageWire, we recruit staff through lots of different channels.
Karolina trained as an IT engineer and was originally one of our customers in Gothenburg. When Karolina decided to move from Gothenburg to Malmo, she immediately thought of LanguageWire. She has now worked for the company since 1 September 2004.
“I was hired in Copenhagen as part of the team that services customers in Southern Sweden. To begin with I worked partly as a Project Manager and partly in technical support.
I now work as a full-time technical Project Manager and my customer segments include industry, IT and transport, i.e. mainly major companies with very specific and highly technical requirements. Because of my knowledge of IT and project management, I see myself as link between our project management and IT departments. Somebody who makes things happen and facilitates cooperation throughout the company for the benefit of all concerned.
My job at LanguageWire is always challenging and can be stressful at times. The fact that we have a positive work environment and great colleagues my own age helps to get things done quickly and efficiently, and that there is always time for a smile. I am part of a relatively small group of five people. We are divided up according to work function and segments, and are always on hand to help each other whenever the need arises. We are really good at working together and supporting each other when trouble hits the fan. I also really enjoy our cosy work atmosphere and the many great activities organised by our personnel department. In the last few months alone we have been to see Zirkus Nemo, we have been on a sailing trip to Flakfortet, sightseeing in Nyhavn, kayaking at Islands Brygge and to a farm party with jazz and draught beer.
LanguageWire has undergone an amazing transformation in recent years, and I can’t always say that I completely agree with administrative and personnel decisions. The company, however, is always open to well-reasoned arguments and suggestions, and this means you have the chance to make your influence felt. At LanguageWire, we help to shape the company, and this is one of the reasons why I am still happy working for LanguageWire three years down the line.”
