At LanguageWire A/S, we view employees as a key resource, and consequently place great importance on employee satisfaction. Imke, Project Assistant, is 28 years and holds a BA in International Communication & Translation and works as a Project Assistant in our Hamburg office. Imke has been with us since May 2007 having previously worked as a sales assistant in a travel agency.
“My daily job of Project Assistant involves the servicing of and contact with the advertising, medical and commercial sector. Work can sometimes be hectic and now and then I have to rush to finish all my projects and meet my deadlines.
The relaxed tone, the ability to influence your own working day and the informal but also extremely professional atmosphere are all aspects that make LanguageWire such a great workplace. We are very project-oriented at LanguageWire, and my work area involves a great deal of project work and cooperation with colleagues my own age. There is a wonderful collegial spirit at LanguageWire, and my colleagues are a group of very sweet and yet very different individuals who are always ready to lend a hand if needed. As a special concession, everyone at LanguageWire’s German office is on a first-name basis – even when it comes to addressing the manager. A young and informal style of communication means everything to me, and I feel this is the case here at LanguageWire.
LanguageWire has a growth strategy, and as I see it, my most important task is to contribute towards developing this strategy. This means that there is extra pressure on staff to deliver those services that customers expect and thus live up to our value of assuming ownership and responsibility by addressing our customers’ needs. This is why it is so important that we deliver on time. This requires a positive atmosphere and excellent collaboration with colleagues in-house, all of which is fortunately in place.”
