At LanguageWire A/S we focus a great deal on staff wellbeing. Anja is 31, an accountant and began working for the company on 2 July 2007. Anja came from a job as assistant accountant and credit advisor in a company where she had worked for 11 years. She did her accountancy training with the same company, and LanguageWire is therefore only her second job.
”I experienced my job interview with Bettina (my boss) as really positive, and when I left I asked myself “can a boss really be like that?” Since beginning in my job, Bettina has in fact reaffirmed that her most important focus area is indeed my job satisfaction. The very fact that openness is a given for her and that she adopts a “we’ll sort that out’” approach is a daily source of comfort to me.
I am proficient in German, both written and oral, and my job at LanguageWire allows me to make frequent use of my German when I speak with our German customers and my colleagues in Hamburg, for example. This gives me the feeling that I am really putting many of my skills to good use.
LanguageWire is very progressive when it comes to social activities. Our personnel department organises all kinds of activities and festivities, and of course we must not forget our summer and Christmas parties. Even though this year’s summer party was held before I began working for the company, I was still invited along and had a really great time. The party took place at the office and began with a delicious buffet. Later, two bartenders turned up and mixed drinks for everyone and we partied and danced until the small hours.
I experience LanguageWire as an exciting company which is undergoing rapid growth - a fact that matches the impression I got at my job interview. I was offered alternative employment but I chose LanguageWire because it was the perfect chance to try something new, and both the place itself and my work colleagues radiated dynamism and energy. I can see myself working for LanguageWire for many years to come.”
