At LanguageWire A/S we are fortunate enough to have former employees reapply for new positions with the company. Anne Schmidt began working for LanguageWire in 2003 as a trainee and was quickly promoted to the position of Project Manager. The work was both exciting and challenging but after four years with the company, Anne was offered a managerial position in the design sector and therefore handed in her notice at LanguageWire.
Anne maintained close ties with former colleagues and thus with the company. After a year in the design industry an exciting job opportunity presented itself at LanguageWire, and Anne has now returned to the company to once again take her place as a member of the LanguageWire team. Anne took up her new appointment as head of the Danish project management department in May 2008 and is now responsible for 10 staff.
Asked what motivated her to return, she replied: “I experience myself as someone who naturally embraces the same values as LanguageWire – also privately in my own life. Making a difference is important to me, and my job with LanguageWire allows me to do this. I also thrive on the unique dynamism present in the company.
In short, LanguageWire stands for enthusiasm, commitment and solidarity. Not to mention a truly fantastic spirit you won’t find anywhere else.
As a department manager I try to instil the importance of making a difference. This equally applies to my own dealings with customers and that of my staff. I want my department to stand for quality, service and knowledge – all of which must benefit our customers. We aim to be the best!
Beyond that I see myself as something of a power woman. So bring on the challenges – I can’t wait to tackle them!”
