How TOMRA streamlines translation with a Sitecore Connector

TOMRA was founded on an innovation in 1972 that began with the design, manufacturing and sale of reverse vending machines (RVMs) for automated collection of used beverage containers.

Today TOMRA is a leader in the resource revolution, providing cutting-edge solutions for optimal resource productivity within recycling, food production, mining and other industries. With activities in over 80 markets worldwide, the delivery of multilingual content is vital to TOMRA. Therefore, a streamlined translation process was created with a LanguageWire Sitecore Connector.

The Challenge

Over the past decade TOMRA has expanded its range of solutions through a number of strategic acquisitions.

In 2013 the company began a process of transforming its expanding business activities into a unified brand platform and common website with content available in multiple languages. Naturally, this process brought along a number of challenges in terms of rebranding of their business areas, aligning content toward different market segments and languages, and ensuring an efficient internal billing procedure for content development.

The Solution

Building a standard website is tough. Having this website available in 17 languages is tougher still. Together TOMRA and LanguageWire solved this challenge with integration and automation. The LanguageWire Sitecore Connector integrated LanguageWire with their new and rebranded website in 2013. The connector solution created a smoother and structured translation process for TOMRA and ensured the high-quality communication of their brand and content across all languages.
